I've been feeling conflicted for a while about what direction I wanted to take my little art biz. I've felt a lot of mental blocks that have made it difficult for me to make art at all, even just for fun.
Ultimately, I've decided to close my Etsy shop and not do any vendor events going forward. I think that trying to sell/market my art has taken a lot of the joy out of it, and I want to just enjoy making art without any expectation tied to it, for now.

I have some inventory just hanging out at my house that I would love to clear out, so I'm discounting it in hopes of doing that. Please share with any friends, family, etc, that may be interested! If you're local to Tri-Cities, WA, we can arrange in-person pickup. Please specify that at check-out.

Going forward, I will continue to post art and travel on this page, probably still sporadically, as I do. I feel excited about moving forward from here, and honestly, I am a bit relieved to take the expectation out of the art. ❤️ Thanks for reading and for being here!

The Isle of Skye has an incredibly wide range of d

The Isle of Skye has an incredibly wide range of diverse scenery. This is the view from Duntulum Viewpoint, near the far northern tip of Skye.

I enjoyed capturing just a taste of the landscape in this painting, with the lush rolling hills, the basalt jutting up from the green, the steep drop down to the sparkling ocean, and of course, the sheep.

The title is an ode to the old Scottish folk song "Skye Boat Song." This song is about the Bonnie Prince Charlie escaping to the Isle of Skye after the Jacobite uprising in 1745. (It's also the theme song of the show "Outlander).

I compiled my screen printing adventure into a reel. It was so fun to make these, and I think extra fun because it was fairly easy to work out the problems. I'm definitely going to do this again!
