The Peppa Pig Afternoon Tea Bus Tour from Brigit’s Bakery was something I knew I wanted to include in our kid-friendly London itinerary. I have so much to say on it, and overall I think it was worth the money. Let’s dive in!
Ticket Information
Adult tickets for the Peppa Pig Afternoon Tea Bus Tour are £48/adult and £38/kid (ages 2 and up). Seats on the top deck are £58/adult and /kid. There are also VIP tickets that are £68/adult and £58/kid. Ticket prices can also vary by date and time.
Tours are available Thursday through Sunday at 12:15 PM, 2:45 PM, and 5:30 PM, with other times occasionally offered. Tours last 90 minutes.
The Tour
The Peppa Pig Bus Tour includes a lot of popular London sites. Trafalgar Square, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe, Tower Bridge, Somerset House, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and everything in between. It’s a great way to see all of these popular sites at once. There is a tour guide on the bus pointing out the sites and sharing tidbits of information, as well as a tablet each table with Peppa and friends pointing them out as well.
The tour guide sings songs which was super fun for the kids. The “Bing Bong Zoo” song was a favorite!
The Food
There was plenty of food, it was all delicious, and we were all full after. In addition to their regular menu, they offer vegetarian, halal, vegan, and gluten free menus. Be sure to select that when purchasing your ticket.
Each ticket includes finger sandwiches, crudites, chicken burger, mini pizza, macaron, cookie, truffle, cupcake, fruit tart, and a scone at the end. There was a nice variety of food and it was all very delectable!
For beverages, we had a choice of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and an assortment of juices in our Peppa Pig Afternoon Tea mugs with refills included. There’s also the option to purchase wine, champagne, and seasonal cocktails.
The Experience
This was a great way to see the city and the Peppa Pig theme was such a fun touch for the kids. They loved singing along to the songs and watching the Peppa Pig clips on the tablet provided at each table.
We went on our tour in the end of July towards the end of a heat wave, and the 1960’s buses are not equipped with AC. It was hot! The bus was very loud, and then the tour guide is talking on a microphone. Plus, London is a big city with lots of sounds. There was a lot of noise, and one of my kids became overstimulated really quickly and was really having a hard time.
A male employee came over and asked how he could help. It meant so much to me that he took the time to do that! He got him another drink that helped him a bit. All of the staff on board was incredibly helpful!
This tour was expensive for us, but for me there was a lot of value in the tour. We got to see several sites conveniently (some that we may not have made it to otherwise), an enjoyable lunch, a positive and fun travel experience for our kids, and several special memories. When we got back from our trip, this was the thing that my kids told everyone about, and still talked about months later.
The Souvenirs
We got to keep our insulated Peppa Pig cups, which are still holding strong months later! The kids also got a cute Peppa Pig Afternoon Tea Bus Tour Activity Book with fun London and Peppa themed coloring pages and activities. It was fun for them to work on the rest of our trip, and a cute memento to save!
