I’m always curious what’s in other artist’s paint palettes, so I thought it would be fun to share mine. I’ve tweaked and revamped my watercolor paint palette several times over the years, and I’m pretty pleased with the current version.

I put my current watercolor paint palette together when I was preparing for our trip to England/Scotland, so I had that in mind when choosing the colors. I’ve found in the months since that the colors I picked fit my needs for most paintings. Watercolor paint is an investment, and I have added to my paint palette little by little over the last couple years. If you are interested in buying all the colors at once, you can view them all together here: Watercolor Paint List
This is the paint palette I used to create this set: Paint Palette

If you’re not ready to commit to a full tube of paint, dot cards are a great way to try out a small amount. A little bit goes a long way with these and you can use them enough to know which colors you like. I painted this flower painting using only samples from the 66 Color Dot Card!
Sample Dot Cards:
Winsor and Newton Dot Card
Daniel Smith 66 Color Dot Card
Daniel Smith 238 Color Dot Card
